Dear KCEF Friends:

Those of you who regularly read our updates know that the inspiring founders and heads of our Kenyan partner schools are creating something meaningful and truly life changing out of almost nothing.

Also hugely encouraging is the financial support of so many of you, especially since most of you have never had the chance to take an in-person look at the challenges that are the daily reality for teachers and students in the slums in and around Nairobi.

Because we know there are many worthy programs working to produce change in the lives of people living on the margins, we are especially grateful for the faithful support—often over many years—of our KCEF friends.

We thought you might appreciate hearing directly from some of your fellow supporters about why they are enthusiastic about KCEF’s mission.

“We have been involved with KCEF for many years and remain engaged because of the high leverage our contributions make. We are helping to change the world for the more than 200 children who attend Blessed Children’s Centre in Kibera. These kids have an opportunity to impact
Kenya in a positive way in the future. How often can you make that kind of
difference?” – Tom & Carolyn Robbins, Newton Square, PA

“I first learned about KCEF through members of our church who were involved in the work of educating children in some of the large slums of Kenya. Their presentations about the work caused me to start supporting it financially. In 2017 I had the opportunity to visit Kenya and experience that work firsthand. Being with the schoolchildren and observing the joy they had (seemingly oblivious to their squalid living conditions) made a profound impression on me. I can see why Jesus loved children and welcomed them (Mark 10:13-16). If by my continued financial support I can provide help for them, I will continue giving– with joy and satisfaction.” – Bob Prichard, Rockport, MA

“For over a decade my family has supported the mission of Kijabe Children’s Education Fund. We’ve seen the organization grow in its partnerships from one school to seven schools—feeding programs, computer programs, running clubs, and a secondary/post secondary scholarship program. Each of our daughters has had the pleasure of corresponding with students in the secondary program for many years. Besides creating wonderful relationships, these letter exchanges have also helped to expand our daughters’ world views in important and impactful ways. Our family’s involvement with KCEF has truly been a blessing!” – Jennie Paglierani, Topsfield, MA

We trust the leadership of a committed board of directors who work hard to ensure that our funds are used as carefully and effectively as possible.” – Lynn & Bas Vanderzalm, Portland, OR
